Carry On... Seeking Forgiveness With Brothers And Sisters

Yesterday's post was about turning the other cheek, trusting your brother, coming to your aid.
What if...
You brother is the one who lets you down?
The one who knows better,
but doesn't do right.
Your brother... In Christ.

We have responsibility to one another, to those watching.
If we call ourselves sons of God, but act as sons on darkness... We cause stumbling, confusion, the evil one is satisfied... in ugly, hideous sin, that reeks of him
and sometimes creeps out of us.

If this is the place we find ourselves today...
as believers we are called to go to our brother, or sister, make peace with them.
Tell them of our hurt.
Wait for a response.
Do not attack.

Ask for forgiveness, for the hurts, bruises we have caused.
Perhaps... They are babes in the faith,

without mentoring, leadership.
Sometimes eyes do not see, damage done to another.

This is a dangerous place.
Pride steps in, demanding it's own way.
We should protect and love, but we don't.
Sometimes we... let down, hurt, destroy relationships, God has brought together.

If you are the mature brother, sister in this relationship,
Encourage another's faith by showing grace... and humility.
Recognize the times we were foolish, prideful and were blind.

Let go.
Forgive.
Submit it to God.

Trust God to see you through, in grace.
Jesus told us in Matthew 18:15...
"If another believer sins against you, go privately and point out the offense. If the other person
listens and confesses it, you have won that person back."

Jesus word's continue, reminding us to be steadfast in encouraging our brother in truth.
We are to submit to one another in brotherly love.

If you are the one in error, search your ways, seek guidance and trust your brother or sister.
Seek forgiveness that others will recognize, as from God.
Form a habit this year... of trusting God. From the first minute He calls.
Go with Him. Carry on the good work He has started.
Be His weapon, His peacemaker, His warrior.
Whatever He calls you to, know that He will be with you.

Carry On.

"But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint."
Isaiah 40:31
