I'm Talking To You... Know Your Calling

You there...

I'm talking to you.

It's time... to know your calling.

The year is stretched out in front of you, full of opportunity and the joy that comes along for the ride.

But...

Do you know your calling?
Well, do ya now?
(Sorry, couldn't help myself... at least I didn't call ya punk.)
A Calling...

Do you believe you have one, ordained for you before you were born?

There is a path in front of you, one you have not traveled before. People to meet, relationships to build. Life to encounter in new ways, eyes to see clearly.

There is a call on your life... and only you can do what God has laid out before you.

Understand before you start down this path.

The call is not about you.

The call is not simply about adventure, accomplishing goals, building empires, slaying giants.

The call is not about looking back next January, sighing.. I did good.

There is no good in you.

The call is not about you.

 The call is about Him, God.

God gives us an opportunity to follow a path He has created for each of us.

Each unique. I cannot do what you are called to do.

The path will open as we seek God's face each day and offer our lives to Him.

We need not struggle here.... Pray, seek His face and wait on Him.

While you are waiting, look for opportunity. What fills you up? What are you passionate about?

How can that glorify your Heavenly Father?

He will provide each day an opportunity to make a difference in a life, and then another, and another. 

It's not about you... or me.

It's about Him.

Each of us have a call on our life to bring God glory.

If we ponder that thought, how will we not find our calling this year?

Today is the day... go find it and make God smile.

I therefore, a prisoner for the Lord, urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit—just as you were called to the one hope that belongs to your call— one Lord, one faith, one baptism, ...
